Super Typhoon Yagi has caused severe damage to people and property, heavily impacting the lives of many in Vietnam. As of 7 AM on September 13th, the number of people killed or missing due to the typhoon and related landslides and floods has risen to 336. Nearly 136,800 homes have been damaged, while over 67,600 others are flooded. Farms and livestock have also suffered great losses.
Our hearts are broken as we witness hundreds of thousands of people in northern Vietnam struggling with flooded homes, power cuts, and a lack of food and water after Typhoon Yagi swept through the region. During the storm’s most critical hours, we sent 3,000 meals along with 3,000 bottles of water and milk to those cut off by floodwaters, hoping to provide some relief.
To continue contributing to the relief efforts, Vietnam Lash has decided to donate 5% of our September revenue to support the victims affected by the typhoon. We hope that, along with our voluntary trip, this small contribution will help improve the lives of those who have suffered so much from this disaster.
Now that the storm has passed, we have decided to go directly to Yen Bai—one of the hardest-hit provinces—to help provide necessities, assist with the cleanup, and support the local people in returning to their normal lives.
The entire Vietnam Lash team would like to sincerely thank our customers for their continued support. Your trust in us has enabled us to make meaningful contributions to society and bring happiness to those in need. On behalf of all those who have received your kindness, we send our deepest gratitude and heartfelt blessings to you.
